Jewellery you wear every day needs very little care, as long as a few habits stick.
Put it on last
Perfume, lotion and hairspray are the main things that dull metal and pearls. Put your jewellery on after them, and take it off first.
Keep it dry
Take rings, chains and bracelets off for the shower, swimming and the gym. Vermeil and plated pieces keep their colour longest when they stay dry.
Wipe it after wearing
A soft, dry cloth removes the day's oils. Sterling silver darkens naturally in air; a silver-polishing cloth brings the shine back.
Store each piece on its own
Harder stones scratch softer metal and pearls. Keep every piece in its own pouch, and lay pearls flat.
Verenne is a Mercayo demo store: this post shows how a store's journal looks.
